According to the Alzheimer’s Association 2024 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts and Figures, approximately 1 in 9 people (10.9%) aged 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia.
You may have already walked alongside someone on their dementia journey, but found it challenging to know what to say or how to help.
We would be honored to partner with you, providing training, education, and resources to equip your leadership team to offer informed compassion care and support to those impacted by dementia.
The Virtual Dementia Tour® (VDT®) is a patented, innovative, and evidence-based approach to fostering a deeper understanding of dementia. It helps participants create lasting memories to reference when providing informed, compassionate care.
Following the Virtual Dementia Tour, we will debrief as a group to discuss everyone’s experiences and how they relate to individuals in the church and their families. The goal is for church leaders to gain a deeper understanding of the daily challenges people face, fostering empathy that enables us to minister more effectively.
We will provide education on the stages of dementia, remaining abilities, behaviors, stories of hope, and more, equipping your church leaders with the knowledge and resources to effectively support individuals and families impacted by dementia.
The more we learn, the better we can support others. We will provide you with a variety of resources, including books, educational materials, websites, infographics, tip sheets, the customizable Compassion Care Connect Form, and more.
